Who is LCJ?

Lights Camera Jackson

"Lights Camera Jackson" has been a "Kid Critic" longer than he's been a kid, having attended his first movie (Disney's "Mulan") a month before he was born. Legend has it he kicked his mother during the funny parts.

"LCJ" began seeing films in the theater at age 5, starting with such classics as "Finding Nemo" and "The Lizzie McGuire Movie." Going to the movies quickly became his passion.

Jackson began his career as a movie critic in January 2006, at the age of 7 1/2, on Radio Disney station WDDY, Albany (NY). Currently his reviews are seen each week in over a million homes on Time Warner's YNN Network of 24-hour news stations throughout Upstate NY. He also writes a weekend reviews column for The Record (Troy, NY) newspaper.

Jackson has appeared nationally on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno", "Today", "The Nate Berkus Show", "Fox and Friends", "The Early Show". and "Live with Regis and Kelly". He is a regular contributing critic on "Ebert Presents: At the Movies", "Mark at the Movies" on the Reelz Channel and "The Morning Show", Australia's #1 daily chat program.

His popular website is located at www.lights-camera-jackson.com. Fans can also follow "LCJ" on Twitter (@LCJReviews), Facebook and YouTube.

Jackson is a 4-time N.Y. Emmy nominee and in 2010 he became the youngest person ever to win a NY Emmy Award, for his movie reviews segments on YNN.

When he's not watching and reviewing movies or interviewing celebrities "LCJ" attends school, enjoys writing and cartooning, playing tennis and watching TV. He takes much pride in the fact that he's seen every episode of SpongeBob SquarePants. And he collects, among other things, autographed photos of celebrities. His collection includes fellow movie critics Leonard Maltin, Richard Roper, Michael Phillips and his favorite critic - Roger Ebert.
